Rakaan’s first three runs of the season were on unsuitably
soft ground, this resulted in him running poorly, and he dropped 8lbs in the
handicap as a result. Last time at
Goodwood was the first time he has encountered a decent surface this year, and
he would have gone close if Spencer hadn’t given him far too much to do.
Off the same mark today he looks sure to go well, in what is
admittedly a very competitive race.
Frankie takes over in the saddle.
